Fit the collar snug enough that the contact points touch the skin, with room for two fingers under the strap. Wear time up to 8–10 hours a day, repositioned every few hours, and off overnight. Check the skin underneath daily.

Used correctly, yes. It leads with tone and vibration, and the static levels are adjustable from very low. Find the lowest setting your dog notices — a small ear flick or head turn — and work at that level.
